Delete your account

You can delete your BuurtFix account yourself. You do not need the app installed to do it.

Not available yet Deleting from within the app is currently being built. Until then it goes by email, to the address below.

In the app

Go to Profile → Settings → Delete account. You will get an email with a confirmation link, and nothing is deleted until you tap it. That way someone who briefly has your phone cannot wipe your account.

Without the app

Email us from the address you signed up with, to [TO BE COMPLETED — deletion address, e.g. privacy@buurtfix.nl], with the subject "Delete account". We confirm within 30 days.

What is removed

Your account and login details
Your name, profile photo and ratings
Your tasks and their photos
Your messages

What is kept

Reports other people made about you are retained for as long as needed to prevent abuse — otherwise deleting and re-registering would be a way to shed a report. Those no longer contain details that identify you.
